Pacific Clutch & Brake was founded over 30 years ago as Pacific Diesel Brake. At that time the primary goal of Pacific Diesel Brake was the remanufacture of Clutches, Brake Shoes, Air compressors and the installation of engine brakes and exhaust brakes for Class 8 trucks….
Through the years the company has changed, in that it has dropped doing a lot of engine brakes and exhaust brakes as those items are now standard on the trucks from the factory, just like air conditioning is now standard on your car or light truck.
The remanufacturing portion of the company has expanded into Industrial Friction, Fan Clutches, Steering Gears, and Ag Clutches. To the point where we now offer our own Kevlar Based Friction material that gives up to 3 to 4 times longer life than other types of friction.
Over 10 years ago the previous owner retired and the new owner took over and has expanded the product line to include other products.
Pacific Clutch & Brake has always remanufactured a large number of HD clutches for Trucks and Industrial applications but now has also turned to manufacturing new parts and pieces for these clutches in partnership with two other re-manufacturers in the US and related manufacturers overseas. This relationship, though our trade association APRA, and HDAG has lead to new products and has allowed us to service a broader line of Clutches, Air Compressors, and Industrial Friction than ever before….
In addition to these products, Pacific Clutch & Brake has taken on a line of HD steering gears and pumps, Midrange Friction, Drums, Rotors, Caliper Kits for mid range trucks. And the Felsted line of HD Push Pull Cables. Push - Pull Cables are used to control remote equipment on dump trucks, and other industrial products. We’ve even made cables for sail boats.
The industrial friction we offer has lined brake shoes for industrial equipment, like fork lifts, heavy haul trailers as well as brake bands for winches, power generation, ski lifts, paper mills and other industrial applications.
If the unit has a clutch, or brake there’s a great chance that we can re-manufacture it, or rebuild it. |
